About

The person
behind the work.

I’m Nick Burleigh, an independent Palantir consultant who likes the difficult middle ground between business problems, technical systems, and the people who use them.

A builder, not just an advisor.

My background spans over a decade of data engineering, application development, operational tooling, and stakeholder-facing delivery. I’ve spent that time helping teams turn complicated, disconnected information into systems they can actually use.

In Foundry, that means working across the full implementation: connecting source systems, shaping reliable pipelines, modeling relationships in the ontology, building Workshop applications, and creating custom React products on the Ontology SDK.

I use AI to accelerate development and to add useful capabilities to the products I build. My platform experience helps me choose models and methods for the task, connect them to reliable data, and design for evaluation, permissions, and human judgment.

I’m equally comfortable figuring out what a team really needs, getting into the implementation details, and making sure the final product fits the way people actually work. The goal is always the same: build something useful enough to leave the demo behind.

How I work

Practical by design.

Start with the actual work

The right solution depends on how people make decisions, where handoffs break down, and what needs to happen after someone opens the application.

Build across the boundaries

Data connections, pipelines, ontology, interface design, and operational workflows are connected problems. Good delivery accounts for all of them.

Make it hold up in production

A useful implementation needs dependable data, sensible permissions, maintainable logic, and a practical path to adoption—not just a convincing demo.
